Balloon Launch at Reilly's

August 24th @ Noon

Come one come all to Reilly's Buck Stop for the 1st Annual Balloon Launch!

Balloons will be released at Noon from Reilly's.  Each balloon is sponsored by a local business and will have business cards, notes, or well wishes attached.  Balloons are $1.50 each.

So come on over and release 'em, chase 'em, and fine 'em!

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the Village of Hopkins will be holding an election in the

VILLAGE OF HOPKINS, ALLEGAN COUNTY, MICHIGAN

AT

VILLAGE HALL within said Village on TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2013

FOR THE PURPOSE OF VOTING ON A GENERAL OPERATING MILLAGE INCREASE.

BALLOT PROPOSAL

Shall the Village of Hopkins impose an increase of up to 2 mills ($2.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for ten (10) years, 2014 through 2023 inclusive, for general village operating purposes, which 2 mills increase will raise an estimated $20,130.14 in the first year the millage is levied. This is an increase of 6.3135 existing mills to 8.3135 mills.

community wide pre-mother's day sale

May 11 --
           Hopkins village and surrounding area will have its annual garage sales and fund raisers for many of our local organizations!  Sales start around 9am (come early, parking can be challenging).  Come out and show your support (yes, rain or shine).  You can sign up and drop off your kids at the library for the Mother's Day Kids Camp hosted by the library and the local Girl Scouts from 9-12. 

Hopkins Farmer's Market

Buys, sell or maybe even trade fresh produce, fruits, plants, jams, jellies and more!

All around the park on Main Street next to the library our vendors will be set up for you Wednesdays and Saturdays from May through October.  From 8am-4pm there will be farmers, crafters, and bakers ready to haggle for great tasty treats!
