TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS:
NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN, That the Village of Hopkins will be holding an election in the
VILLAGE OF HOPKINS, ALLEGAN COUNTY, MICHIGAN
AT
VILLAGE HALL within said Village on TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2013
FOR THE PURPOSE OF
VOTING ON A GENERAL OPERATING MILLAGE INCREASE.
BALLOT PROPOSAL
Shall the Village of Hopkins impose an increase of up to 2
mills ($2.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under
Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for ten (10) years,
2014 through 2023 inclusive, for general village operating purposes, which 2
mills increase will raise an estimated $20,130.14 in the first year the millage
is levied. This is an increase of 6.3135 existing mills to 8.3135 mills.

Notice Relative to Opening and Closing of Polls
THE POLLS of the said election will be open at 7 o’clock a.m. and will
remain open until 8 o’clock p.m. of said day of election.
